As mentioned for the past year, this really will be the last year for Wilson in Seattle.
He's going to continue to butt heads with Carrol and Schneider.
Him coming back from the finger thing is as more for his personal brand (and don't get me wrong, he's a focused intense guy) then coming back to help the team, when the season is and was all but done. He has two dynamic recievers but no running game, nor a tight end that he has relyed on his entire career to get him out of trouble. Him coming back is to make sure he shows he's healthy in the offseason allows him to release a hype video, but his play on the field these last two games is of a guy who's nowhere near 100%.
The chasing and trying to convince Beckham unsuccessfully as mentioned is another powerplay towards management more then it is getting a diva on the team..See his pursuit of Antonio Brown last few seasons and others, which seems more for show then practicality.
Last offseason it looked to get messy, him going off script and it landing at the feet of the OC. Now he has his own OC who will let him do whatever and it has shown long before he got hurt they he doesn't have the answers he thinks he does. I don't think the relationship breakdown with management will recover, so my thought is that this offseason it will be dealt with swiftly. Deshaun Watson, come on down and Seattle can get out from under the cloud that Wilson has created in his attempt to be coach and GM these past few years, nevermind his cap hit.
