The Flames play the same way I most enjoyed watching the way the Bruins used to play

Sutter has them playing hard.

I normally watch about 20 flames games a year. Typically Edmonton vs etc. In my opinion Calgary plays a very commendable style of hockey. It certainly has a more old school feel to it. At the end I think their quality may be their downfall but their effort and courage has improved a great deal over previous products. High traffic areas have bodies, pucks get cleared with extra effort. Reminds me of a few of our incarnations.

Flames know the recipe against Boston, keep it simple and play physical. Bruins look small compared to the Flames and will get bullied if the Flames are in the mood.

The problem could be solving a very fired up Vladar, that is if the Bruins decide to wake up and use their superior skill against a much bigger physical team.

Calgary has a nice balance of skill, toughness and, thanks to Don Sweeney, goaltending. Flames fans must be enjoying their team!!!!

Never say never, but Lucic doesn't want to play on the East Coast. He specifically asked to be traded out to the West Coast 6 years ago to be closer to his family after they suffered a tragedy and he's stayed out West ever since.

If this game dosen't wake up Sweeney, nothing will, this team is too small and soft to compete with the bigger more physical teams.

Bruins are not playing really good tonite but clearly they would not handle a heavy team either in a 7 game series.Need a few tweaks personnel wise.

First game I ever remembering leaving early. Why sit there and waste my time when the team isn’t going to give effort.

Bs had the advantage of the last change. Flames are on the tail end of a very long road trip. Bs theoretically are better rested. No excuse for the kind of effort seen tonight. Outmuscled. Outskilled. Outcoached. Outplayed. Should have at least been somewhat competitive.

2-0 Calgary. Vladar working on a shutout. The choice to dump Vladar was one of the stupidest moves in Sweeney's off-season. Vladar is playing behind a really well structured defensive team, and the Bruins look out played and worst of all, out-coached. I say again, our defensive game took a huge hit when we lost David Krejci. It made this team mediocre, especially exposed in encounters with some of the better teams in this league.
So disappointing this season.

What the Flames really needed all along was to have no coach (since it is impossible to understand what Sutter is saying)

It’s not serious of course. My point is Sutters “amazing” system isn’t rocket science as I said. Need the personnel and goaltending. Dump and chase. Shoot from everywhere looking for tips and rebounds. Hold the blue line and quick transitions.

I’ll never compliment a Simple Simon system like that. I don’t GAF how many cups it wins.

I am the only not tripping because Flames are winning. I am actually glad their fan base is emotionally invested, makes the heart break that much more sweet.

Regardless of our coaching deficiency we beat them in a playoff series on talent alone. We also got the much better farm system, pumping out NHL players out of the box.

No way Mangiapane keeps this scoring pace. Right? RIGHT?
