But the deduction is quite correct. Go back and look at your two or three posts. Signing him to a reasonable deal was eliminated as I said, and you acknowledged a trade might not have been possible. What’s left?

It’s not impossible that Treliving found out that Johnny would not accept what he considered the maximum amount he was willing to pay. Treliving them went to Edwards to get consent to trade him, and it was refused. So, Treliving is going with his only option presented to him.
Not saying that is the case, but there are always other possibilities.
