From what I recall SOB said on his podcast that he had heard Tkachuk wanted to play in the US with a preference for St. Louis. He then speculated it would be
'Tarasenko, but the Blues would have to add' (I'm paraphrasing here). I do not recall him saying anything about Kyrou or Perunovich.
Maybe he continued to speculate on the NHL network or Strickland had something more reliable, but I also do not recall this being discussed in detail this past offseason. If it were a legitimate rumor I tend to think this specific topic would have had its own thread and it would be a two or three hundred posts deep by now and probably on the first page of this forum.
Where I think this whole discussion is a bit unfortunate is that people say/read this and then turn it on the Flames for not pulling the trigger on something that, I bet, was never was on the table. It's an empty criticism and consistent with the other instances of people making things up for the more gullible among us to lap up.
