Might not be too bad for them. They can probably get some assets back for an expiring Gio at the deadline (though considering the Flames were willing to add to Kylington to keep Gio... still a dumb move) and if they win the lottery in one of the next two years, they'll hand a foundational centre(Wright/Bedard), which is what Vegas found it had to trade for (Eichel) in the end.
