I said Kylinton is what Hanifin should be. I made the comparison. So it has everything to do with each other. Kylinton has another gear, Hanifin doesn't. I think it's why Carolina didn't see him part of the future.
This also doesn't mean I think Hanifin sucks. I think defensively he is our 2nd best defenceman behind Tanev.

Hanifin should be what he is developing into - a large bodied 200 foot minute eating D man, like a Jaybo. Everyone here complained about Jaybo because they wanted more points from him. Then he went away and won gold medals and Stanley cups a playing his game.
Kylington can be what he is. He has a completely different skill set than Hanifin, even down to their different skating styles, though they are both great skaters.
It’s not necessary to compare one to the other. They’re both on the team.
