Agreed.
But every game has its own story. If you go into the third period with a 2-1 lead, you might pick up an insurance goal as the opponent is pressing. They then get a late goal to make it 3-2 but it's too little too late.
Or maybe an empty-netter. Yesterday the Sharks won 4-1 but it was basically a 2-1 game.
Even with Ramo or Johnson in net, we've won those games before.
Markstrom needs to better. He's lost a handful of games which were tied or led during the 2nd or 3rd period. Not really a recipe for success.
Tonight the Flames took a 2-1 lead and turned that into a 3-2 regulation loss. That's different from getting down 3 ealry on and then only scoring two the rest of the way - because of how the opponent plays offensively.
