Oddly, yes.
The Flames deserved to lose this one. Too many players had off nights. Poor execution all over the ice.
I was hoping the top guys would punch in at least one solid period and that would have made all the difference in a game like this one.
I hope the lines get shaken up to start tomorrow night. They’ll need something extra to give them some jump on the 2nd night of a back to back after such a poor showing tonight. I’d also expect to see Valimaki and possible Stone draw in.
On the positive side, Kylington is exactly what this team needed. He may make the odd mistake, but his playmaking and desire every shift to make an offensive difference has been a game changer for this team.
