Maybe confirmation bias, but I felt the same coming from the interview. Of course, it was a nothingburger answer, but at least it didn't feel like
bad news per se. I got the sense the GM and the agent are talking, but Johnny chose to remove himself from the process and focus on hockey. A lot better than waiting till the end of the season to talk.
