FFP is going to be a compounding hurdle for them as well since they still play in Newcastle. Not exactly prime recruiting material when the other big dogs are in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris etc. They're going to be stuck in a catch 22, don't have the players to build success and having no success to attract players in spite of the location.
The top tier players will get monster money anywhere, no chance they're picking Newcastle.
They'll build a strong team, but I don't think it's going to be as drastic as people think.
