It does seem like Lafreniere and Kakko are looking very pedestrian considering their draft position and hype. I can't help but feel that they are ruining Lafreniere. They threw him right into the NHL right from junior and put a lot of pressure on him, and now he is on the 4th line. They probably should have left him junior or let him rip it up in the AHL. I get it was a tricky situation where he was too good for junior and not eligible for the AHL after he was drafted, but probably not ready for the NHL either.
