They're either your ally or they aren't. Saudi Arabia is in a pretty intense conflict / situation with Yemen and Iran right now so they need all the help they can get. Biden's general withdrawal of support out the gate with the Saudis was a really bad move for America as Saudi needs their support. Saudi Arabia's military is not that strong so they need to rely on America and America can't expect OPEC to soften energy prices if they aren't willing to support OPEC's chief producer.

It's basic geopolitics and it's pretty much that simple. Weapons sales happen by all countries all over the world all the time. People need to come to grips with the realities of the world and the problems many of these regions are facing. Yemen is in deep crisis and needs the Americans / Saudis for support. This isn't about "one brown dead baby" it is about supporting your allies.
They're one of the most repressive regimes in the world. It undermines any arguments a country has regarding human rights when you support a regime like that.
