I would say that streaming isn't free. You have to pay a monthly subscription fee for each one, so depending how many streaming services you have, it could end up costing you over $60/month. If you have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Crave, Disney + , Shudder it all adds up.

Plus for me, there is value added to enjoying a movie with other people. I've missed the shared collective experience when watching a movie, I've been watching movies at home for almost 2 years now because of Covid, I'd like to see Movies with other movie goers.

During a movies life cycle it's only very briefly in theatres anymore, I suggest going out to watch quality movies in a theatre regardless if they are big blockbusters or not. The more that people go out and support original ideas and movies the more it sends a signal to Hollywood that there is still a market for those movies and the more that will get made. You only get like 6 weeks to experience movies on the big screen now a days and if people stay home soon it will be 4 weeks then 2 weeks then never.
