Smith is probably gone for pennies on the dollar so thats 4.25 out, leaving 4.75. Probably have to try and let go of Marchessault for cheap. Two more from the original expansion draft out the door.
But if I'm any other GM around the league I wait until the offseason to pull a trigger on a Marchessault or Karlsson bargain bin because why would I give a freebies team like Vegas more help... let's see how you tap dance around the return of your savior without someone taking salary off your payroll.
