If it was all about Krebs then the negotiations probably never even got to roster players for Calgary, they would be offering different combinations of prospects to try to get the Sabres attention. IF that's the case this probably never even actually had Tkachuk's name in it.
Why take the chance of a leak and hurt feelings if you aren't going to get them to move off Krebs?
