I find myself totally skipping over the topics that are stickied because I know some are always there (rules etc) and find myself going right down to the first new topic. I think if new articles weren't stickied they might thrive by themselves. I always seems to miss Game Takes, and didn't notice Tilly's newest peice until much later then it was there because I just skim past the stickied topics sometimes.. I might be the only one.. but I'd be suprised.

Thoughts?
It's an old forum joke:

Q-"How do you make people ignore a thread"
A-"Sticky it"

I often miss some stickies, I'm just so used to ignoring them.
Freway's sticky is great, but I always forget about it because it is rarely posted to and Freeway's updates don't trigger the software to show the thread the same way a new post does.

It is tricky - all the stickies are valuable and need to be accessible, but the fact they are always there means they get ignored.
