They've got a pretty good aquarium there... it's a scientific aquarium, as opposed to the performance-based seaworld-type aquariums, and in the center of it is a five-story-high cyllindrical tank with a coral reef environment inside. Sharks, manta-rays, sea tortoises and hundreds of smaller fish all living in the same environment. Pretty cool.
We also went on the whale-watching tour there, and it was far and away the best-such tour that I've been on, in terms of number of whales, variety, and proximity. But that's really a luck thing.

The best restaurants in our experience were in the Italian district, though food is, overall, pretty good there.

The Library there is pretty cool, if you like libraries. And the science museum over at MIT and the Harvard Natural History museum...
Also there tends to be a lot of great concerts, being as it's such a big college town.
