Always an excuse. You could play these games with almost any player and find some reason that the players they got saddled with were crap. These were all good players before going to Buffalo and many of them remained good players with Buffalo. The whole team sucked as a unit and couldn't find success, even with this supposed "generational" talent on the roster. Look deeper into each player and you can see they were good talents prior to going to Buffalo. Things were not sunshine and rainbows in Buffalo for some reason, but every player deserves the same level of scrutiny, including Jack Eichel.
