It tells me two things:

1) His data is obviously skewed, that number is far too high to be truthful - religion is declining in Canada, but there are more Christians, Sikhs, Jews, and others in Canada than Muslims by a long shot. That number has to be too high.

2) Even if that WAS the truth, that only leaves 25%-33% of the Canadian population Muslim; hardly the religious victory these clerics can claim - that's not an Islamic country, that's just a stronger Muslim minority than before!
The reason for not so much alarm as there is awareness is the same reason Harper paid for the Lebanese to come back to Canada. Minority groups have a tendancy to group together (Montreal, TO and its burbs etc).

Normally 25-33% of the population wouldnt be an issue because they are too spread out to matter, the reason it does matter is becuase they can dominate ridings because of the close association, same thing applies with all minority groups in Canada and the US. The difference in the US is their society forces Americana on immigrants so the effect is less where as in Canada its as if they are still living in their homeland just with a bunch more white people around and you dont need to boil water.
