Porsche Design is just an industrial design house and they have had some historical collaborations with real watch companies like IWC in the 70s. There is less interest and demand in watches from them as they are not really considered a watch maker with in house movements or horological pedigree. It's like a fancy architect placing his name on something. Heck, I even had a Porsche Design designed LCD monitor from the early 2000s when LCD monitors were considered futuristic.
These watches are fine if you like the look but not good for holding or rising in value whereas a Rolex will go up 5-10% a year and will always be easy to sell.
