Vegas injuries make it easier from a cap perspective but not a team perspective. Does Vegas trade picks/prospects and punt this season? Are injuries causing the delay on the Vegas side?

I don't see how that solves their cap issues. They have space right now due to LTIR, but Pacioretty is supposed to be back late November, Tuch in Feb, Stone is apparently close, and Whitecloud is week to week. With those players back in the lineup, they would need to send down or waive around 4.5 million to be cap compliant. They would definitely not be able to fit Eichel's salary if he was cleared prior to the playoffs.
