The rest of them, though, especially the Sportsnet people, are just latching on and trying to cast themselves as authorities of some sort while begging for a spotlight to be shone on them personally - I can't stand these people.

For the most part on sports analysts/reporters, I'd agree -- but same does not apply for Westhead, despite your caveat that he brought it to light. Proper, investigative journalist with a history outside of sports.
