Re. Monahan and NTC … the idea being floated is that next year, being a contract year, he’d rather have the opportunity to play 1C and showcase. He’ll only get that opportunity in Buffalo.
Alternative being he stays here and is stuck playing behind Eichel and Lindholm.
Not saying it’s likely. But that’s the logic.
