Reducing funding for police is a very unpopular policy, including among Democrats and Black Americans. 23 per cent of Black Americans would like to see a net decrease in police funding in their community, compared with 38 per cent who want to see police funding increased. For Hispanics, those numbers are 16 per cent and 46 per cent, and for Democrats 25 and 34.
