I would think the opposite. If you’re not sure how bad this season is going to go, may as well eat it and draft your own 1st rounder rather than gambling on a 24 year old with a significant injury.
Trading for Eichel because you need C help to make the playoffs is like trading for Deshaun Watson because you need a QB for this Sunday.
