Interesting that Buffalo is not in that market as well. They’ve had a good start to the season (unlike Arizona) but if before the season started most people were to pick the two most likely teams to finish at the bottom of the standings it would be Buffalo and Arizona I think. So I would think Buffalo would be willing to retain salary if it increased the return for eichel. Maybe not though… they will have star players that need new contracts 3 years from now so maybe they don’t want $1-2 million in retained salary from eichel limiting them at that time.
