Look, just to clarify because my comments seem to have been taken in a manner which I don't want to be projected. I'm well aware that homelessness is a major problem and that relocation isn't necessarily a legitimate option for most.
My main point in saying that was that I believe there are more than one way to get around this issue about the Olympics, and I honestly don't think going to protest is going to do a damn thing about it. It's called timing, and I'm not sure whether or not these people were protesting when Vancouver was vying to get these games- but that was the time to do it, not now when the money and resources have already been committed.
My main idea was that there are ways around this problem other than protesting and maybe leaving is an answer if your looking for cheaper housing- which a lot of them are. I'm well aware of the depths and complexities that involve homelessness, and I'm sorry if my comments seemed ignorant, but the truth is that Saskatchewan DOES have cheaper housing. If that's your only issue, and you can afford a house there but not in Vancouver, why wouldn't you instead of being homeless in Vancouver and bitching about it to a bunch of people that can't and won't do anything about your situation?
