Let me rephrase the question, was this a rumour that came from someone who has a track record of breaking this sort of information (Friedman, LeBrun, CJ)? If so, I did not hear it. Maybe Andy Strickland had something? Serevalli?….it’s one thing if it comes from someone close to the team, or recognized on the national scale as being able to access this information, it’s another if it’s someone dreaming up scenarios on CP.
What I did hear though is Shane O’Brien saying he heard Matt Tkachuk wants to play in the US, preferably St.Louis. That’s it. He then followed that up speculating the the trade could be Tkachuk-Tarasenko, but the Blues would probably have to add.
Personally, I don’t read too much into this. It’s not all that different from JG’s interview with some Philadelphia sports show years ago and they asked him if he would want to play for the Flyers and his response was something along the lines of ‘yeah, sure’. I’m sure JG would like to okk look at for the Flyers as well as a few other teams, including the Flames.
