Here is the thing.
The Flames have a lot of talent. The same core, for the most part, was second in the league just 3 seasons ago. Now a lot of them are in their prime
There were some pretty obvious things that have been pointed out over the last few years. Pace of play, speed of decision making, and d zone structure were a problem. Lots of chances from behind the net into the slot, or across the slot were allowed. Communication from the coaches to the players was an issue.
Coaching matters. The team was losing the last few years because of how they were playing.
Guy starts a thread because he is excited the team is playing night and day different from last year
It’s not embarrassing, because you can see what has changed, it makes sense that it should work, and it is working
Like I said, I will not be surprised in the least to see this thread age well
Getting the team on the same page, doing the right things and getting good results should be respected. Collapse shouldn’t be feared. They are led by a multi Cup winning coach. Believe in him. Not jinxes
Superstition ain’t the way.

Whatever makes people happy and this start is to be enjoyed.
But just like with players, there is some virtue in acting like you've been there before. Seasons aren't judged based on two games of results, and awards aren't handed out based on eight games.
If you want to predict Darryl wins coach of the year, have at it. I would make the same prediction. You want to suggest he has done something to earn it after eight games, well I'd disagree.
And as much I can see how well the team is playing, I'm still a big supporter of a change to the core group of players before the trade deadline.
