But Vegas can't make it work with Krebs as the center piece, so they need to dump some cap. Buffalo doesn't want a cap dump, they want a Theodore or another roster player that can make an impact. Vegas doesn't want to move a higher end roster player AND move Krebs. Especially for a player that won't play for a few months and especially since Vegas is struggling as it is. So you have a stalemate of, "if Krebs is your prize you have to take a cap dump to make it work for us"........"Ummmm we're talking about Jack Eichel here, we'll do the dictating thankyouverymuch "
