I'm big on the bring in Eichel train. But Lindholm, Coronato, Hanifin, and a 1st? That is just insane.

Lindholm is one of the best contracts in the league, and has 189 points in 215 games as a Flame, for just under 0.9PPG. If we were going to trade him, you do so at the deadline where a contender would be giving us multiple 1sts and a roster player because the quality of player for the cap hit is huge. Eichel's PPG average over the same term averages out to 14 extra points per season. Is that worth more than doubling the cap hit?

Honestly if Lindholm is involved in a trade for Eichel (which he won't be), you're adding a conditional 1st based on Eichel's health and thats all. Not the #1 defensemen who is younger than Eichel, the top prospect in our system who was the best goal scorer in his draft and has started his college career with a bang, and a #1 pick on the top of it.

Eichel will never get traded if thats that ask.
