Why would he go to Newcastle unless they were giving him obscene wages? His desire to leave Spurs is primarily to win something, and while in the long term Newcastle are better bets than Spurs to win something they are still years away from seriously contending for anything. I still think you can get £75 million for him from City in January, his value might be down but City still need him to win anything this year. And if you can get £75 million I think you dump him and move on.
