The Blackhawks playing hang on against the Blues almost worked. Krug scored the only goal of the game midway through the third period on the power play as the Blues won 1-0 in regulation. Fleury was in net for Chicago and played his best game so far this season making 36 saves in the loss. Chicago was winless through eight games in 1953-54, when they were 0-7-1, and 1999-00, when they were 0-4-4."
