The Wild West

They're Calgary. They shouldn't be taken seriously at all. Calgary is a place where people with too much skull commune with each other and bond around barrels of burning newspaper. It's like St Louis without the redeeming qualities. And St Louis is nothing but rusting rail yards and bum fights, so it has no redeeming qualities to begin with. If Philly's subway system suddenly prolapsed and spilled forth into the real world, the result would be Calgary East.

Calgary is the kind of place where people use ketchup as pizza sauce. Their favorite vintage of wine is made by cracking open a can of Juicy Juice and letting it sit in the sun for two weeks.

All of this is the fault of their hockey team. Things were better before the Flames. Look how much better Atlanta has gotten without them; they've got an aquarium, which wasn't possible when the Flames were dragging them down. Everyone agrees aquariums are good.

Calgary really goes all the way with this cowboy act but it’s really just a large city. Every time I’ve been I haven’t seen a single cowboy.

you’d expect to see people on horseback riding around downtown, I’m disappointed Calgary. Be more cowboy.

Risto was a net front guy on BUFFALO’s powerplay but they decided it was a good idea to put him at the top of the formation. Almost like they didn’t actually scout the guy. He has rocks for brains.

The 4th line looks utterly clueless out there, and it appears that the coaches are determined to have them out with the top line (or Sutter is changing fast when he sees them out there).

The last sequence where Hart made the glove save was entirely due to incapability of play driving by the 4thers

Wow, man Ive heard what Calgary has been up to with the other Metro teams but dayum, you guys are scary. Playing very systematic, reminds me of the Islanders when they are on their game.

I didn't know Stevie Wonder ref'd hockey games. Only a blind person would call that a slash on G and not notice the trip on Coots.

We so much as breathe on a player and we get penalized but other teams can straight up get away with murder in front of a ref’s eyes and they don’t go to the box. It’s every game every year literally wtf is up

Imagine calling such a soft penalty on a player like Giroux. Like...?

At this point, Calgary could take a baseball swing at Giroux's head and the ref would say it was a shot follow through!

The core problem is were missing 2 top forwards, our top Defencemen and it's our 3rd game in 4 nights on the road against a hot team... their still in this game.....last time I looked at the roster we were not the Oilers of the 80's or Wings of the 90's. Team is going to struggle to score more often than not (no matter how hot we started) and play lots of games like this that were going to rely on good goaltending and solid special teams until were healthy...... Seeler made a huge mistake or its 0-0
