Pro: Upside to contend is there. Coach, 1C and goalie are in place. Treliving can just worry about what he does best - tinkering.

Con: Season until Eichel arrives gets harder, concern of health until he is back and playing like normal. Dealing with that uncertainty.

But pro:.. Excitement here around what the team looks like in 4 months.

And ohh pro: Mountain of oiler salt and envy should we come out on top without having to butcher the roster.

But also pro: Sportsnet scales back their McLovefest and also recognize Eichel as a formidable talent playing in Alberta, lending to more Oiler salt.

I think I'm going with team "pro" here.
