I just don’t see how this works cap wise without really hurting the team, unless it’s Zadorov & Monahan, or maybe Tkachuk going the other way. If Tre can put on his wizard hat and work some magic then great, but this feels super risky to me.

Promising season? This team is forever mediocre, a good regular season or not. It’s always up and down with this team season after season, either they have a solid season and make the playoffs, or end up in the middle of the pack and miss. They can win the division and still get ass slapped backwards round 1. We NEED a franchise #1C to ever be a cup contender, and this is it. A legitimate franchise #1C like Eichel RARELY comes around and becomes available, and you have to swing for the fences to get him. You guys can be happy with a “promising season” or a “good” regular season all you want, but I’m not, and I’m sure many feel the same as I do, because we know what’s going to happen come playoff time, and that’s if we even make it. It’s time to make a move now with the “win now” window that we have with the age group of our core.
