That’s a good question, as the difference between "render" and "rendering" can be confusing. The difference is all in the tense, and there are multiple uses for the word.

Examples:

Render:
The verb form of the word, which can include the present or future tenses: (“I plan to boil my neighbour alive in order to render the fat from his body. He stole my petunias and must suffer.”)

Rendering:
The present participle form of the word render: (“I am rendering the fat from my idiot neighbour’s corpse as punishment for him stealing my petunias. I loved those petunias. Perhaps later I will make soap.”)

Rendered:
The adjective form of the word render (e.g. rendered fat from my useless neighbour), as well as the past tense verb form: (“I rendered the fat from my neighbour’s corpse because he stole my petunias, AND he let his cat wee on them. You can’t repair petunias after that. I’m going to plead insanity.”)

I’m not sure what this has to do with hockey arenas, but I’m not sure I’ll be comfortable going there if there will be much rendering going on.
