But the assets they acquired looked pretty average from the onset. William Karlsson, Nate Schmidt, Colin Miller and etc were nobodies before the Knights got a hold of them. But the Knights' system and foundation fosters the growth of average players and allows their strengths to shine while collectively hiding each players' flaws. Look at guys like Chandler Stephenson and Nicolas Roy today, would these 2 guys be as successful had they stayed with their old clubs? I doubt it.
Vegas just does it the right way. They've built a strong foundation along with a great culture. Others might hate them, but I admire what they've done. I'm also very jealous, but my anger is directed more towards this club and its management for failing to execute despite having a sky high potential and a wide open window.
