With respect to the report, I'm pretty surprised in hindsight the team conducted it and not the league. I guess it was impartial, but still, conflict of interest wise, you'd want to avoid that obvious potential dismissal of the findings based on who's paying the bill. What I'd have liked pointed out in more detail on the report is the chain of how things were told to team management up the chain. I'm a little unclear on how that all went down and exactly what was said to upper management (including Quenneville). It's impossible to get exact quotes 10 years later but it would be important to know who was in the room at the time and what was said in what manner. So if Quenneville was in the room who was speaking and exactly what did they say? Were they explicit as to what happened or was it a broken telephone message passed through? So many questions. I'm sure Gary wanted to be the first to call and find additional detail.
