Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bowman officially wasn't terminated (I believe he resigned). Unofficially, that's another story. It happened under his watch where he was responsible, so I have little problem with it either way (if he truly knew or not, it was under his watch).
With respect to Toews, he could have feelings for Bowman and Beach. It doesn't have to be one or another. If Bowman was good to him, I think it's important to state that. It shouldn't always be about being one sided. If he said Bowman was right and Beach was wrong, that'd be disrespectful given the facts we now know. But again, there's no reason to be upset. Bowman clearly meant something to him and he wasn't abandoning someone he likes.
