To be completely fair, he was referring to his experience with Bowman. And there's nothing wrong with that. At first I was angry at him for denying, because it's hard to imagine him, Kane, and others not knowing at all, but perhaps there's legal reason they want to deny. Beside that, at the time it wasn't their responsibility as players to do anything - that was on upper management. You just hope they weren't part of the kicking him while he was down. This shouldn't be a witch hunt. Management is almost solely responsible in this matter, and if I'm thinking critically, Toews probably knew, as did the others, but they have their own reasons at this point for denying, and it's probably at the advice of legal counsel.
