I'd have to agree with the Tkachuk suggestion. He was MIA for most of last night. His value comes not only from his playmaking ability, but from his ability to draw the defense towards him and open up the ice for his teammates. That hasn't happened at all this season.
Tkachuk just playing hockey and getting points makes him a solid 6M/year player. If he wants that 9M/year paycheck, he has to be visible on the ice, and unfortunately he has been a ghost.
Maybe it's a chemistry thing, and I'd love to see him feeding pucks to Monahan.
