Pro sports is a pretty unique environment, but it isn't hard to imagine a more typical corporation facing a similar issue and handling it differently if they happen to have a big shareholder meeting or product launch in the coming days/weeks. Which certainly isn't an excuse...but I can certainly see how most people seem to have left the meeting expecting a slow/quiet investigation instead of swift/loud...which based on the details they seem to have had at the time may not have been the 'wrong' approach. The bigger failures were in the subsequent events.

Video coaches shower with the players? And , as a matter of fact, yeah, I go to the gym with some of my colleagues and there are indeed showers. But I don’t get drunk and try to get under the sheets with them.
Lots of excuses being made here…
