Yeah, this should simply be called what it is: a lie. And by "called what it is", I mean by the Jets media and preferably the league itself.

... Seriously? You really think that's going to happen? The Panthers are at the top of the league and you think they're going to fire their head coach? I suspect they'll come to the same conclusion the Hawks did in 2010: "it took a lot for us to get here, we can't allow this distraction to de-rail our season".

Maybe you think I'm being cynical but I seriously doubt Quenneville gets fired. Chevy either, even though his team isn't doing quite as well they're expected to be pretty good this season and the same "distraction" concept will hold sway, along with the fact that the owner seems to like him.

But the league loves them some Blackhawks and in the first year of the ESPN deal? I suspect they'll try to make this go away as quickly as they possibly can.
