I hope Tre’s negotiations go something like this:
Initial offer would be:
Monahan
Zary
Valimaki
2022 1st (Protected)
2022 2nd
If they say no, make the 2022 1st unconditional.
If they still say no to Valimaki as the final piece, offer Pelletier instead of Valimaki.
If they say no to Pelletier, then and only then offer Dube instead. Third and final change we’re willing to make, final offer.
As for the media… I wouldn’t put much thought into what they are saying. Most of them, especially Anderson always seem fine with status quo. Any time a potential coaching change or big trade is talked about, they always seem resistant to it
