I can't see how people would be in favour of winter sunrises happening at 9:40 AM at the earliest. I also can't see how people would be in favour of not being able to quickly and easily know whether neighbouring jurisdictions they do business with are an hour behind or ahead of them.
Keeping DST the way it is makes sense unless enough jurisdictions around us also adopt the change.
