He probably thought that only people who knew the lingo would be interested in the wine. A token is equal to five cases of wine, which is 60 bottles. It comes from the 1500s when kings in Europe would hold parties in the Spring. They would give married guests 60 bottles of wine so that the husband and wife could each drink one bottle of wine during the month of June, as a "token" of the king's appreciation.
