The elite world class speedskaters, for example, are going to prefer to train in Calgary because of altitude sure. Agree completely.

However, this isn't about the elite athletes. This is about the KIDS across the country that will benefit from state of the art training facilities. In this case, BC kids will be given a greater chance to become part of that elite by getting to skate on great ice in a world class facility. They will get to watch world class competition that you know will return year after year to the facility as it returns to the Oval in Calgary. Just one example, but the same pretty much goes for all the other new facilities.
