Either way, Gudbranson has been good for 3 games here, while sucking everywhere he has gone pretty much his entire career. A bit too early to proclaim him as a success here. If he goes downhill at some point, this hot start of his will be all but forgotten.

This isn't true. I didn't watch him in Vancouver and I know people said he sucked there but he didn't suck in Pittsburgh or Anaheim, he was solid albeit nothing special. Typical bottom pairing but with intangibles. In Florida he was in the final year ask to play top pairing in the playoffs and was outmatched, no surprise there. He's been through a lot of injuries in his career and I feel that has always played a big part in bringing his game down.
