They went really young though. The problem with Holland is that he's of very small stature and looks very young. He's not going to grow into a burly 6' tall guy. His other big role, Peter Parker, is a nerdy and small high school kid.
Tom Holland is likely to develop into an Elijah Wood type, not a Nathan Fillion type.
Although I guess if the next movie is set 10+ years after this one, they could simply swap out actors. Kind of a Young Indy situation.
